Savvy miss is a TYPO3 news driven website that was completly redesigned in February 2007. Cablan.net was selected by Cannonbose, the TYPO3 consultancy hired by Savvy miss, to implement the new design into their existing TYPO3 website, without significant downtime.

The complexity partly resided in the fact that in addition to a new series of templates, several changes to the website had to be implemented at once, without losing any information from the previous version.

In addition to the creation of over a dozen Templavoila templates and flexible content element, Cablan.net had to :

• Reorganize the tt_news categories for the website, doubling the number of categories
• Create a new format of "landing page" for the parent categories
• Create a Unique News Displayer extension to prevent duplication of the news articles (removed at a later date)
• Implement a dynamic adjustement of the regular HMENU items to add the most popular articles in the menu
• Tame the tt_news plugin to allow customized usage in various PHP scrips and extensions WITHOUT modifying the tt_news extension
• Respect script template design and positionning requirements from the client
