Cablan.net is located in Montréal, Québec, Canada. We are registered with the "Inspecteur Général des Institutions financières" (IGIF), the organization where all Québec Compagnies are required to be registered.
Cablan.net does most of it's work via email and the Internet, and on a small scale, via telephone.
What is the network connection of the server of Cablan.net ?
Our servers are located in one of the biggest network operation center in New York city. It has full high speed redundant connection to several of the biggest major U.S. backbone providers.
Unlike other companies which need to lease costly special phone line to connect to their backbone provider, our provider has a faster connection to several backbone providers at a lower cost.
We use a "burstable" high-speed network connection at 100 Mbps dedicated for each of our servers, which means that instead of purchasing a fixed bandwidth, we pay for actual bandwidth used, providing faster access during peak hours, at a lower cost.
100 Mbps is 10 Mbps faster than 2 T3 lines.
It is thus appromatly the speed of 65 T1 lines !
Of course, this speed is shared amongst all the accounts on the same server, and the actual speed of a connection is as fast as it's slowest link.
