Each of our servers has a powerful firewall to protect you against brute force password attacks. After 5 failed login from a single computer in a short period of time to an FTP, POP3 or SMTP account, the IP address of that computer is blocked by the firewall.

If you cannot access your website, nor your server's primary domain name, you have possibly been blocked by our firewall. If it is the case, e-mail us at : support(at)cablan.net with :

• your domain name
• your own IP address (click here to get it)

And we will unblock you ASAP.

To send e-mails using SMTP, you need to set your SMTP server to your own domain name. No need to add mail. or smtp. in front of your domain.

You also need to turn on authentication with the same username and password as your POP3 account.In Outlook, the option is called "My Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication".

If your mail program still cannot connect to our SMTP server, your ISP is most likely blocking port 25. Change the SMTP port from 25 to port 26. In Outlook, the option is on the "Advanced" tab.
