Why we do not offer unlimited bandwidth plans?
Simply, becauseunlimited bandwidth does not exist. Plan and simple.
It is impossible for a business to offer unlimited bandwidth to all of it's clients. What they generally offer, it is unmetered bandwidth.
What is the difference?
The difference is in the fine prints. Every single hosting company in the world pays bandwidth by one of the 3 followings methods:
 | with a fixed leased connection such as a T1 line,
|
 | by paying for actual transfert,
|
 | with a combinaison from the two above such as a "burstable connection". |
A fixed connection.
On a fixed connection, the company is basically given unlimited access to a private connection itself to the Internet. But unlimited access doesn't mean unlimited speed if many visitors are accesing the connection at the same time congestion occurs and a lower speed is experienced by the visitors.
As such, with a fixed connection, the following occur:
 | cost is fixed per month,
|
 | speed decreases as usage increase. |
