cab_news_uniquecat : Unique News Category Selector
This extension allows to display dynamically multiple tt_news plugins on a page, without repeating a category.
It adds a new "What to display" code (Which can be used in conjunction with the Unique News Displayer) to the tt_news plugins which will choose only one of the selected news category of the plugin, based on the first news item returned which is not from one of the already selected categories.
If a website has 5 news categories, and uses this plugin 5 times on the home page, it will first display the category with the most recent news, and exclude that category from the choices.
The second plugin will use the category of the first news item returned from the four remaining categories, and so on.
The categories will therefore be sorted according to their most recent activity.
Available on request only for now
This extension is still in testing and has not been uploaded yet in the extension repository.
Once we will be satisfied by it's quality, it will be uploaded.
